I never understood the obsession with her. She's not funny and her show sucks. She's just a fat girl who feels empowered having sex with guys who wouldn't fuck her in real life if she wasn't famous. It's great she's happy with her body, but can we stop pretending she is somehow witty and smart because she bares it all for the camera?

It really looks like her writing in her book has triggered some blowback and she is having trouble dealing with it.

I'm aware of her but have never seen her show or read anything she's written.

I don't really agree with this statement. She's just a celebrity.
She was promoted as the alternative to the current "it" girl. She was refreshing in that she definitely has a more common body appearance than stick-starved supermodels.

I read King's latest book last week. Not bad.
Dunham just needs to fade into obscurity. Her show has the lowest ratings of any HBO program. They cancel the Newsroom (which I love) and keep Girls because it looks good. Life isn't fair sometimes.

Listening to audio book of King's JFK novel. Good so far.
I loved 11/22/63. I actually read it twice. In his top 3 books in my opinion. Have you read The Dark Tower?
