Dan Brown is not a good writer, some of his sentences are painful....like reading bad high school English. Plus the plots are ridiculously far-fetched and full of holes and he's really annoyingly preachy at times. So of course I finished his new one in a day and a half just to convince myself of these things :)

If you don't like him, why read the book? Just curious.

Curious? Or Crafty?
You never ask a navy man if he'll have another drink, because it's nobody's goddamned business how much he's had already.

Yours is not the only review I read that said that. I like him but I agree that his writing isn't the best. Either way, don't spoil for me, I haven't read it yet!

Ever read a James Patterson book? I don't know who his proofreading editor is, but he/she/it should be fired. I get so angry when I find grammar and spelling errors in books and magazines. Especially on the net these days, I find so many articles with mistakes in them and it drives me nuts. I don't even spell very well at all but to see a professional piece of writing with errors just burns me up.

Guess we would make good friends then, haha! It really DOES annoy me, though.

I read that most people figured it out right away (by reviews I read)---so now if I don't I will feel like a total idiot. Anywho, hope to start it soon, even if I have to read it to Justin to get it done!

I dunno, maybe you should read the reviews first:

"Slightly Disappointed" November 11, 2008

By Evil Overlord - See all my reviews

I ordered this book to complete my doomsday weapon. The information is clear and well drawn-out, particularly the detail regarding the fusion of plasma energy with dark matter. My weapon was finished on schedule. Guaranteed Armageddon. It was beautiful, really. Except it turned out that due to a tiny error on page 601 of the book, my device was not exactly a success. I now have to start from scratch. Beginning with my army of minions.
