If people voted for Raygun, I don't think him being elected would be too far out of the realm of possibilities.Dude seems like a fairly moderate Republican - pretty sure he believes in Global Warming and actually stood up to Bush and co. in defense of stem cell research.

True, although this is one aspect of the US Constitution that I could see being ammended someday.
