Sounds more like he realized how much the reality would suck compared to fanboys expectations and bailed.

I would have liked to see him there, cause as bullshit as the RNRHOF is, it's still nice to see your favorite band get the recognition you think it deserves. But honestly, I never expected the Slash gap to be closed. As others have said, it's a lose/lose for Axl. More emphasis on the original lineup and calls/hopes for reunion, and a total disregard for the current lineup. Whether or not you/me/we like them, Axl does, and that is who his focus is and should be on.

I can understand Matt going in since he played on the UYIs, while Gilby only played on TSI?. Guess Gilby did play the majority of the UYI Tour, but then he was just playing songs he hadn't written (not a knock on him, he seems cool).
