LevisNuts helped get this out in the open. Its uncirculated footage from the 1988 show at the Cayuga Fairgrounds.

Long hoarded footage is now appearing again. Amazing that it took a damn reunion for this stuff to start surfacing. The 87 Ritz show is now out.....and if we ever get it all...might be considered better than the iconic 88 Ritz show. Its a shame this wasn't released back then. I said it from the beginning...there is a goldmine in that vault even though some fans act like they have nothing to offer.  The hoarders are now showing this to be the case.

This is incredible. 88 Ritz is as well and us old timers have memories of MTV playing it every day. THIS Ritz show is right before they blew up....they are hungry...on fire...something to prove.  The fact Don't Cry is performed at this show is incredible. Other than the demo we heard that was a B Side to the Don't Cry single and shitty boots, we never saw the AFD lineup perform it like this.

Never before seen footage! Sure, we're very familiar with the phrase "Guns N' Roses Live at The Ritz" - but this isn't the footage you're thinking of - this is unreleased, never before seen, straight from a Geffen VHS, just three months after the release of their monumental debut album Appetite For Destruction, days before the infamous CBGB's Acoustic show (Which, until now, was thought to be the only known 1987 show to exist in video, sans rumors of a fan filmed August 1987 show in Toronto). The full footage will see the light of day some day, but to quote one himself "You'll see it, I'm just not sure if soon is the word" - though, I will entertain offers for trade for something of equal value within the GNR bootleg community.

The tapes contains a clip of Jungle, and fulls songs from My Michelle through Mama Kin. Footage is one hour in running time and was transferred directly from Geffen VHS via Ion Audio's Video 2 PC capture device. All cheesy, 80's High School AV club editing was all the rage in those daze and was done by Geffen, hahah.

I just saw this at Sludge.

guns%20n%20roses%202016_zps2nrenykn.jpg

If this is even remotely close to the real tour routing....this is going up in flames quick so you people going to Vegas better enjoy the experience. I get attempting stadiums...I really got it when this started with a bang...now that no one in the general public gives a shit....they're taking a huge gamble. No way in hell can they do two nights in Soldier Field. Stones and U2 would have difficulties with that. Don't even try to do two stadium shows here in the bay area either. One will be full, other will get canceled. Another thing, bouncing around from country to country is insane. Looks like TB has a role in this(if its true).

They have no momentum going and Vegas is weeks away. This is not how anyone envisioned a reunion. This needs massive promotion to keep the wheels turning.

This is great, but these clips are just a tease. They need to release the whole thing.

If I was GNR, I'd immediately offer it for download. Once this hits youtube and everywhere else in its entirety, it'll lower any sales they could have got for it. They have to know this is now being teased and the full thing is floating around.

They need to use their live stuff in the vault like Metallica does. Put it all up for download at a reasonable price for each show.

Pearl Jam does this even better where they mail you a physical copy with a booklet, etc.

Lineup now officially confirmed. Pitman is out. At least the speculating over any lineup is now over.

Axl

Slash

Duff

Fortus

Dizzy

Frank

Its the UYI lineup minus Izzy and Matt. I'll take it. I love how they ditched the 3 guitarist concept. Its not needed. I love Izzy and hope he is involved at some point but even though I'm not a big fan of Fortus, I have no complaints about this lineup. This lineup can certainly play the hits set we'll be getting.  If nothing gets released within a year...I'll start complaining.

A brand new GUNS N' ROSES autographed drumhead has been donated by the band to be auctioned off at a benefit concert for the people of Flint, Michigan who were affected by the water contamination crisis.

A photo of the drumhead — which apparently features the signatures of singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, keyboardist Dizzy Reed, drummer Frank Ferrer and guitarist Richard Fortus — can be seen below. The picture was tweeted by Canadian rock journalist Mitch Lafon after it was originally posted by Sureshan Pather, who is apparently involved in the auction.

The concert, which will be held on Tuesday, March 15 at Beast Of Bourbon in Brooklyn, New York, will be headlined by MULE KICK, which features Ferrer alongside Rob Bailey, Rob Clores and Brett Bass.

GUNS N' ROSES has six shows scheduled so far, all in April: two at the Coachella Music And Arts Festival, two in Las Vegas and two in Mexico City. The exact band lineup has yet to be confirmed.

A new Twitter account purportedly belonging to former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Izzy Stradlin appeared late last month on the social media site. In one of his tweets, Izzy said that he has "no involvement in the upcoming April 2016 GNR shows."

It's been speculated that Stradlin would have some limited involvement — such as a guest appearance — at some of the upcoming GUNS N' ROSES reunion concerts, which currently feature Slash, Rose and McKagan.

The rest of the band's lineup for the shows — and a potential tour later in the year — remains unclear, although Reed, Fortus and Ferrer are all believed to be involved.

Fan speculation around the involvement of original drummer Steven Adler has been heavy, with the bandmembers not sure whether Adler, who has a longer history of drug problems than any of the other members, can hold it together on the road.

I just realized how I said it was confirmed and the article says it remains unclear. :P  Its definitely confirmed....just without an official announcement of the lineup. THis may have been a way to let hardcore fans paying attention know who its going to be.

Its no surprise anyway. Fans already knew Pitman was burnt toast even though he created that teaser that started the hoopla. Some may be surprised at no 3rd guitarist but there was zero chance of that really happening anyways. Once Bucket bailed in 04 the idea should've been dropped.

Any CD or CD II songs that get performed can be handled by Slash and Fortus. They can simply rework the Bucket parts that might be difficult.

I get having Fortus play since Izzy is out, but why Frank? He's a great drummer and I have no issues with him. I just don't understand why they wouldn't include Sorum for any other reason than monetary. He's obviously going to want more than Frank, but Sorum would lead more credence to the whole reunion vibe. But with the main 3, I'll definitely be at a couple shows.

I'm not a big fan of Frank...but my lack of interest in him not at the same level as Fortus. Fortus is very overrated by this fan base.

I agree Sorum should've been involved but I think this is just how it was negotiated. Slash and Duff on the red team....Axl has Fortus and Frank on the blue team....and Dizzy is technically neutral as he's been on both teams.

Power plays likely going on in negotiations and this is the lineup both sides could agree on. IMO Pitman was ditched for this very reason. Yes he played a role in Chinese but it comes back to "you dont need two keyboardists"....Dizzy can push buttons that Pitman would have pushed and it evens out the teams better. Its also a cost cutting measure. Hell...half the time I doubt he was even plugged in. They are not going to waste money like that on these very lucrative shows. Why pay that guy 10-20k a night to push a button and tap a keyboard not plugged in? At that Bridge School Benefit show all he did was wave a towel around.

Sorum is on the Slash/Duff side so that is a "no go".

We knew this reunion, regrouping. whatever was going to be bizarre and difficult to get off the ground. The confirmed lineup is very revealing. It also shows how laughable the Kushner rumors were....no chance in hell of that happening.

IMO...Sorum NEVER appears onstage with GNR again. He is simply keeping his mouth shut in the hopes that he will someday.

I think an AFD shindig of some sort will happen next year(IF the reunion makes it that far) but other than that...this is the final GNR lineup.

I'll support the lineup as is. Go to a bay area show, buy any releases from here on out, etc. They tried their best under the circumstances and this was the compromise.

One hilarious thing from the loons recently about Pitman is how some said they cant perform November Rain without him......apparently forgetting that November Rain was played every night for three years in the early 90s and sounded much better back then as well.

Other than triggering intros to certain songs, some of his playing was either buried in the mix, too high in the mix, some nights not even plugged in, and shitty backing vocals.

This is a hybrid of the UYI lineup and while we'll get plenty of AFD for sure...I have a feeling we're going to get killer tracks performed from UYI.

I always said the reason many UYI tracks were never played during CD tours was because something needed to be saved for the reunion. They shouldn't have started playing stuff like Estranged and Don't Cry.....but at least songs I love like The Garden, DTJ, etc. now have a chance.

Deep cuts from UYI are perfect as alternates in a rotating set list.

Axl surfaces in Atlanta. Told this guy in the pic that GNR are doing a full tour. Much speculation on what he's doing in Atlanta.

That's what I see too. Which says to me he's not worked on his voice much either.

Even if Steven was in, I still think right now Axl would be considered the weak link in the live band setting.
