Just starting to properly get into this band - only have Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road right now and can't get enough of the latter Posted Image

Rubber Soul was my first album as a kid. Was handed down to me by my parents. I knew the entire catalog by the time I was 12 or so. Posted Image

The Beatles is a very worthy band to get into. Abbey Road is an excellent album. Sgt Pepper is very good too. So is the White Album. There's some of the solo albums and songs that came out, after the Beatles, that are worth listening to, as well. I was into Wings for awhile, big time. I went through a period of time, in my early teens maybe, where I went through this huge Beatles phase - so much so that I got a little burned out by it - yet I still appreciate the music to this day.

On a serious note, definitely get the White Album. Posted Image There aren't really any huge standouts (though some songs are better than others IMO), it's just a wonderful mess of styles with no real theme or anything like that holding them together. You've got heavy rock (Helter Skelter), fake-country-and-western (Rocky Raccoon), 'schmaltzy' ballds (Good Night), just flat-out weird (Revolution 9) and everything in between.

You'll probably have your own individual preferences but it's just fun to sit through the whole thing and take it all in. And Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da is a good song by the way. Posted Image
