I was watching some old Van Halen videos today. Where have all the good times gone?
I'm like the little kid who shouts out, "The Emperor has no clothes!"
Van Halen has no balls based on the two clips I've seen. I want the rest of the album to be great. It might be. I can forgive them for Michael Anthony and "Tattoo" if the other songs are good. However, I'd have to go deaf and take an entire bottle of Viagra to participate in the insane circle jerk around the recently released material.
I actually listened to "Best of Both Worlds" this morning and thought it was far better than the two new samples. That's a sad fucking day in Van Halen history.
I will reserve all of my comments until I hear something I actually like. It's not fun for me to say these things about a band that I sincerely consider to be one of the all-time best in American hard rock.
