Flagg is going to say that all this bullshit liberal media hype caused Zimmerman's fuck up'ness & that it's a clear case of using emotion over logic.
The first thing I did on the computer this morning was to come here to see how Flagg would try to spin this.

We'll see. And just think, if the public hadn't heard about this & hadn't put up such a huge protest about it, the thought to charge him would NEVER have crossed anyone's mind. THIS is why the media can be good. Course, I don't know that for sure but hey, we weren't hearing anything about him being charged. It's taken how long now, more than a month, since that kid was killed til now. That's effing absurd.Looks like he is about to be charged.

One can argue Zimmerman doesn't follow.. Martin doesn't die
BUT
If Martin DID punch Zimmerman, one can argue if Martin had just said "I am staying with my dad's fiancee up the street" instead of punching him *if he in fact did so* he'd also be alive.

Tax dollars gonna be wasted. No way in hell they can convict Zimmerman based on evidence we have heard. Especially with Florida's Stand Your Ground law.

A person is dead and no one---so far---has come forward to claim to be a witness. It's not a waste of tax payer dollars to have a hearing regardless of what little actually evidence there may or may not be to back up Zimmerman's CLAIM of what happened or if they have a stand-your-ground law in that state. The parents of this kid deserve to hear the facts and conjecture given under oath where he can be cross-examined. Martin may not have had a gun BUT he also had a right to stand his ground if someone appeared to be stalking and following him in the night so if he did throw the first punch, is that reason enough to use deadly force? Is it enough to shift the blame to the victim like a rape victim wearing a short skirt gets blamed for her attack? Zimmerman knew the police were on the way. Why did he even have his gun drawn in the first place? The kid was not doing anything illegal when Zimmerman started following him!

I thought it was in his belt and he pulled it out while on the ground??
If he had it drawn BEFORE altercation. then yeah, I will jump sides and agree
if not.. I still think he can't be prosecuted.
Certainly don't agree with rape analogy.
Guy was actually physically hit and was in a bad position.
Let a guy bang your brains out against the concrete or shoot him?
Way different than just dressing a certain way.

That comparison might work if the rape victim hopped on the guys cock, then said no right before he came. Otherwise, if Martin initiated force, the argument is bunk. And it's not a punch the allows deadly force. It's Martin on top of Zimmerman bashing his head into the ground saying "I'm going to kill you." If that happened, then deadly force is justified. You don't know that he had his gun drawn. I highly doubt he did, otherwise Martin probably would have fled, and not left Zimmerman with a bloody nose or cut on the back of his head.
After the Duke Lacross bullshit, I learned to wait till all the facts are made present and not rely on civil rights leaders and an overzealous prosecutor looking to have their name made. If Zimmerman gets his day in court and the evidence shows he was the initiator of violence and didn't act in self defense, then convict him to the full extent of the law. Otherwise, accept that Zimmerman has just as much of a constitutional right to freely travel and defend himself as anyone else. And he has the Florida stand your ground law, absolving him of any responsibility to flee.

I'm curious how either side can (dis) prove anything will no eye witnesses. Perhaps somebody will come forward?
Which is exactly my point. Martin's mother getting on TV saying her baby would never attack another man isn't admissible in a court of law. Yet millions have already found Zimmerman guilty. If there are no witnesses, the state is going to have a hell of a time getting a conviction when 1.) initial police reports validate Zimmerman's claim that he was attacked by Martin and 2.) Stand your ground places the burden of proof on the state, not the alleged perpetrator. So unless there is some new evidence no one has heard of yet, my initial hunch is we have another prosecutor hoping to get her name made from this case. neither the defense nor prosecution is going to be able to find an untainted jury. My prediciton short of any new evidence, is a hung jury and Zimmerman walks.
