Didn't think I'd like STP without Scott, but the new song is pretty catchy:

I have a few thoughts about this.

1) I like the lyrics

2) I do like aspects of the song and like the composition.

3) I can't help but think of how much better it would sound with Scott's voice singing these lyrics

4) I don't like this guy's voice too much

5) They shouldn't call themselves STP anymore. If this was a new band, with no history behind it, my review would be "eh, I could take it or leave it." I certainly don't think it lives up to the STP brand.

These are a couple of songs by a local mid Michigan band, from a CD they released earlier this year, A friend and classmate of mine plays lead guitar and sings on some songs. This, honestly, isn't some shameless self-promotion by them. They have no idea I'm sharing the songs here. I just think they did a very good job, and think it's worth sharing in this thread. (plus, you know, every little bit of exposure helps, but I wouldn't do it if I thought they didn't deserve it)

I created a bio page for my main band. We are trying to be selected to play at the NOLA JazzFest next Spring and had to submit photo, songs and video. Here is what I sent the selection committee. Check out our songs. ALL DAY is most rocking.

Why do you read that kind of crap, Art? Seriously, I don't get it.
