Danzig just released a covers album. Horrific production, voice, etc. Cant believe any label no matter how small would release this.

Danzig covering ZZ Top's Rough Boy...

Glenn must be redeemed:

Sister burn the temple
And stand beneath the moon
The sound of the ocean is dead
It's just the echo of the blood in your head

Never a big fan of his music, and he always seemed like a huge jerk in interviews.

My fave Danzig video:

Why do you read that kind of crap, Art? Seriously, I don't get it.

i like some of Danzig's music (Cant Speak is amazing) but this covers album is ridiculous. Maybe he's getting too old for this, small budget or  producing made it sound like shit, whatever.....not a good idea. I highly doubt any Danzig fans were waiting for him to cover Rough Boy.

Knockin' on Heaven's Door - Guns & Roses

Sucks balls. Did a deaf man produce this song? Seriously.

Given time I could name hundreds just as bad, but I have to split.

Back again. I realized this isn't as easy as I thought. Probably because I only listen to good music and avoid being exposed to popular culture.

I have a love-hate relationship with "Under My Thumb" by Social Distortion. I like the way it starts, but I hate it when they speed it up and ruin it. The slow part makes me feel like I'm in a drunken stupor. It feels good.

Maybe you should make a topic about good cover songs.

Or you could make a topic about shitty songs by good bands. That offends me the most.

I know what you mean.  The whole thing feels like an excuse to put "fuck" in a Stones song.

But I do love Social D.

Just found this horrible DIO cover song. The bass player is the best one if you listen to the entire song.

But the funniest thing is this comment below the video...so true:

"All these Dio tribute bands make me think. Makes me think and remember the original, and how good he was. Anyone else grabs that mic, it is like jerking off without coming.."

Life is too short to listen to Dio tribute bands.

I agree that that band sucks.

But did you know that Art's band, Holy Rhymer, will be playing in NOLA this weekend?

Actually, there was one really good DIO cover band I found on youtube a long time ago. I can't remember their name. That's how I found this shitty one.
