I painted my front door on Sunday. First time I've painted something, ever.

Haha! I wish I hadn't, I don't enjoy painting much, but I do it just the same. I do enjoy the end results though. We need to paint the main floor of our house, the kids are brutal on the walls (and the floors, and the ceilings, and....)

We just had our living room painted (including wall repair) by a Mexican guy we know. He'd already retiled our bathroom and kitchen doing a fantastic job, fixing the mess caused by the white European guy who did it first. Just sayin'........

I'm even more pathetically out of shape than I initially thought because painting a door proved to be a bit of a workout. Is it just me or is the constant up & down motion tiring on your arms?

We are those crazy creatures that do that type of work ourselves. PITA. I'm not too good at cutting tile or drywall, but can lay the tile, and mud and tape the dry wall. We did get messicans to mud and tape our basement, but it was a huge project, and too much sanding for me. They did an outstanding job too.

I came down to Rob's tonight to watching her dog while she is out of town. She, now, lives on campus. Too, she has no air conditioning. So, I have all the window open to catch a breeze-- it ain't hot, but...-- and all I smell is reefer. It seems like the shit is blowing in from all directions, but, truth be known, it is probably wafting up from down stairs.
