I can't believe it, Whitney Houston is dead. What a shame.

I just read that! At this point in my life I have lost count of how many people that have died because of drugs. Such an amazing voice too, what a waste.

Today was a weird day. Went out to the beach to show a property. Met a doctor and his wife, who were both very nice. The unit had 4 other showings today, which must have drove the poor tenant nuts. She is 89 and renting until the end of the month. I brought her some flowers as a way of saying thanks for putting up with all these people marching through her unit. Five in one day is freakin' fantastic for me, but frankly it's too much on her end I think. Funny is that I do have a written offer, but the owner is off in Calgary and I can't get in touch with him, only his wife. I'm hoping we can get a few offers lined up by the time he gets back. I'm REALLY hoping that I can sell it to the doctor because I won't have to share my commission with anybody else!


Anyway it turned out there was a bird sanctuary a couple of houses down. Very cool. I guess they get these pelicans that are in trouble and nurse them back to health. The place really stunk, but there were some baby pelicans with their Moms which I had never seen. One batch was a week old and another was only a day old.

It became really chilly and the wind was blowing hard kicking up sand. It looked really cool and unfortunately I only had my crappy cell phone take a pic. The waves were actually the largest I had ever seen on the gulf side, usually they are pretty low. These looked big and dangerous.

Ms. V. Ham: Those pelicans photos are interesting and you are really thoughtful to bring flowers to the 89 year old woman. People remember things like that when they're recommending or looking for an agent.

Signed up for my first sailing class. I'm reading about it now...making me nervous, haha. I think it's the first thing I can remember learning (since probably skiing) that I knew absolutely nothing about. Zero, zip, nada.

Well that's why you take lessons you butthead, so you learn more about it! That's great you're doing that. I've been wanting to sign up for a sailing class here in Milwaukee for years now but it's so pricey that the idea of it fell by the wayside. It's always in the back of my mind though. I'm excited for you! That's going to be an awesome class.

Lots of hoops to jump through already. If buyers are liars, then sellers are total friggin liars without a doubt. Unpaid assessments, conflicting surveys...fun times, but I won't complain!
