Dentist this am to replace a surface filling. It was hurting like a mofo for a month. The ray showed it was right on the nerve there which would explain the pain. I had the shot though, half my head feels like a frozen pineapple. Then I went to the doctor and gave blood for sugar, cholesterol etc. I'm very curious to see what my numbers are after not eating meat since February.

Smoking all through highschool is really coming back to bite me in the ass when helping out for gym with the Grade 7 & 8s.

I have been in unbelievable pain in my left jaw, front teeth and left temple since getting a Novocaine shot yesterday for a basic dental procedure (filling came out.) Once the numbness wore off I was initially fine, but starting last night I get pain in waves. From a 4 to a 9.5 at any given time. It's really unreal how much it hurts. I called the dentist this morning and they said I should not be feeling pain like that (yea no shit) and to call them Monday if it was still hurting. They tried to say it was probably just sore from the shot. I've had shots, and it's been a little tender, but never anything like this. Every time it goes away and I think I'm getting relief it comes back. Hurts to eat, drink, even breath really with my mouth open. I don't know if he hit a nerve or what. Heat does nothing, ice does nothing, tylenol and asprin do nothing. sucks ass.

And stand beneath the moon

It's just the echo of the blood in your head

This being Scotland, naturally it was pissing down with rain on graduation day. <_< That dampened things a bit, literaly and figuratively, since no one really wants to hang around and talk with each other or whatever. It's weird that you're basically sitting there waiting for your ten seconds of fame while you walk across the stage haha. Anyway I guess I'm officialy no longer a student for the first time in about 17 years. :o I suppose I've to look for a job now? :P

Why look for a job? It'll probably be raining anyway and you can sit around her and post all day instead.

This should be in The Dentist thread ;)

I was in a similar boat earlier this week myself. I've had a cracked tooth for years that the dentist has left alone because it wasn't razor sharp and the nerve wasn't exposed, but holy fawking shit did it feel exposed earlier this week. I slapped some Sensodyne on the sucker for a few hours though and it seemed to subside. Here's hoping the pain doesn't return.

I can't keep my threads straight lately...heh heh.

You may be delaying the inevitable there my friend. I'm sure you could find a good socialist dentist up there to patch you up. ;)

Today it's maxing out around a 5-6. For the most part it's a dull pain which is good. Last night it got so bad and I called a buddy of mine to see if he'd give me some of his pain pills from his recent surgery. I kinda felt scummy for doing that, but I couldn't take it anymore. He gave two pills to my wife for me though which was nice. I still didn't take them yet and if it continues to ease down, then I won't at all. Fuckin' dentist!

Sounds like they might have hit a nerve in your jaw. Let us know. At least it's getting better.

And....congrats Iron man! :) Time to join the real world, huh?

I've rolled down the hurricane shutters just in case because of tornado warnings. Flooding all over Tampa and St Pete. Some crazy pics coming online of cars completely submerged in water, roofs flying off, huge trees that have fallen etc. Lights flickered for a bit, so we took the candles out just in case. I really hope we don't lose power tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks! It seems so yes. :o I don't know what horrors await out there.... At least I have no debts to pay off since we get our tuition fees paid for us in Scotland. B)

Seriously? Oh you lucky fuck. The real world is simply paying bills, trying to pay the rent, living paycheck to paycheck....at least that's my life. Sounds fun, eh???/
