He's lucky to be alive, did he learn anything though? Probably not. My inlaws who both go covid are still saying the same stupid shit. Still not wearing masks and lecturing family about the vaccine. Morons!
What about the long term consequences of going through that? Physical and psychological? Those are powerful drugs you're on for weeks, and can fuck up your brain. That's before we explore the long term problems associated with covid in general. People don't just come of a vent and return to their normal lives like nothing happened. I also wonder what this virus may do in 5-10 years down the road? Look at something like HPV. It causes a variety of cancers later. I would find it very likely that we could find people who suffered from covid having organ failure, or blood clotting issues (for instance) years later down the road. It's certainly not implausible in my opinion.
Or let's pretend "it's just like the flu." I don't want the flu! The last flu I had (about 4 years ago) knocked me on my ass for 3 weeks. I couldn't breath, couldn't get out of bed, had a fever off and on for days and could not work. I could barely lift half my usual weight when I returned to the gym. I probably wasn't back to my normal strength for another month after that. It was no joke. Who in their right mind would be cavalier about the flu? Or for their child getting the flu? Only a moron would.
