I've taken the codones after oral, eye, and foot surgeries. They always make me loopy, but eventually just knock me out. I also always still felt the pain to a degree, I just no longer cared about it. The other thing is it slows my breathing and I feel that I'm fighting to catch a breath. So I never really enjoyed the high, which is probably a good thing.

They were nothing compared to the morphine and other crap they gave me via IV. I tried to rip all the skin off my back and didn't recall doing it til I went into the shower the next day.

I was given morphine coming out of surgery once and it made me very ill. Puking and dry heaving.
If it weren't a felony I'd say to mail them to Rush.

I vaguely recall thinking I was covered in bugs and very itchy.
Oh god and I was barfing like crazy, too. Apparently, they also think it's ok to bring your newborn in and leave him with you at 6am while feeling like this!
