We just came from a little Christmas party with 600 other retirees. I won a poinsettia and got my first card in the mail when we got home. So I'm in a holiday mood now. Merry Christmas back at you all. Got to get our celebrating in before Obama cancels Christmas, you know.

To keep with our long standing Christian values we hold so dearly here...

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas, once again! Hope you all have a wonderful day shared with friends and family. Hope you get everything that you asked Santa for. And don't let the MILs get to you.

Merry Christmas, heathens.
Sister burn the temple
And stand beneath the moon
The sound of the ocean is dead
It's just the echo of the blood in your head

The neighbor brought me a bottle of Old Forester 1920(115°). Damn fine high rye bourbon... smooth as silk,  a lot of caramel on the front.

The neighbor, again, gave an Old Forester gift pack. This time it was the 1920(115⁰) and the 100⁰. One is better than the other. The "1920" is marketed as their  medicinal product, and it was what probably saved the company from the ravages of the
Volstead Act, though, the 100⁰ is a much better spirit... sweet like one would expect.

It all just seems like an unnecessary amount of cooking and doing dishes. Way too much food and even more work preparing it. Every year we do this.

Anyway, Merry Christmas I suppose.

I wouldn't mind getting fucked up again.

Just waiting for my terminal whatever diagnosis. If that ever happens, expect a few months of epic posting before I check out.

Hell, it's a cancer;  we all have a terminal diagnosis. I find hope and strength in yours, and others, ability to resist. Otherwise, I would be drunk everyday of the year and long since dead- no shit!

Happy Holidays, y'all.
