Saw the movie this afternoon. Pretty entertaining and visually cool, but it was far less dark than I was expecting, and the end felt like a Narnia movie.

Yea, but I didn't really notice is it that much except for the usual falling/things flying at the screen set piece tricks they seem to use in every 3d movie. I think it was shot in 2d and 3dized afterwards unlike Avatar. Actually, maybe the coolest 3d scene is before she even gets to wonderland.

^^^ Also the final battle is pretty bad for CGI, it's clear that Alice is fighting a green screen or however they do it.

The wife and some of her friends are seeing it today. Can't bring myself to sit through another typical Tim burton Film.

the new version or sequel is pretty decent. Though I think Isa like it more then the rest of use.
