Well I was feeling poopy yesterday and watching TV in bed. Stumbled across this show and thought it would suck. It's actually pretty good, as people bring in all kinds of rare/odd things to sell off. The crew is pretty funny and the main guy is very likable. I "taped" about 6 episodes to watch later. I like the buy/sell aspect and it being in Las Vegas too.

It is a staged show as per a producer. He said how would these guys know the most oddball of things and when they don't, know someone who just happens to be an expert. They are in the biz of making money, but they're not that good... It's a work but a good one... Either way, it makes for good TV
You never ask a navy man if he'll have another drink, because it's nobody's goddamned business how much he's had already.

I watched some more today and found it interesting that the one guy could know so much about so many things. I'm sure he must know a lot considering the type of business, but I'd also imagine they read up then talk to the camera about it all. IDK, it's entertaining for now though.

I'd think it would be difficult to know the market price of so many items. When I bought and sold cars I quickly learned what the market would accept and what it would not. That is how you make your money. Same for real estate or anything else you want to buy/sell. These guys have to know a lot about a lot of things or get hosed.

I like the weird people they find. Sometimes their amount of junk dances along the cusp of "hoarders." This one old man had so much shit and still didn't want to part with a rusty old motorbike frame for 8k, lol.
