I think this is kind of cool as far as what the internet does or can do, whether you like the music or not. A 70s band who never released an album but who have been rediscovered via youtube.

Interesting. Like you said, pretty much a byproduct of the internet and probably just a first taste of what's to come. With no MTV to push things, the record labels in disarray, and the way the net allows so much music to flourish with no real leaders in the industry, we're gonna see a lot more of this type of thing. I have always thought Buckethead would get very popular many years down the road(maybe even after death). The music is too good for it to be ignored by the masses forever.
