It's looking more and more likely that Romney will get the nomination. If the Dems don't do something soon they are going to lose I think. They either need to really start engaging and energizing their supporters, or entering another horse in the race.

Romney is there best bet because he appeals to independent voters. Perry is too far right and is too stubborn on the Social Security thing (and all the other crap he wrote in his book.) The redistricting and the voter ID thing bothers me, that can be enough to win if it's close (and it will be close.) The best thing Obama has going for him is that an overwhelming majority of people personally like him. Also that while his poll numbers are currently poor, the GOP Congress has the worst numbers in history. I think their approval rating is 10-12%. Also polls show that while the majority do not like how Obama is handling the economy they trust the GOP even less. Presidential debates are a biggy too, and that's where Obama shines...speaking. The worst thing he has going for him is the economy, poor Dem. turnout, appearing weak to the GOP. He MUST raise taxes on the upper tier at this point too, he can't fold on that again. The majority of Americans want that as well. He HAS to point out that the GOP has produced zero job bills and make this their economy as well. He could still win, but he has to really bring it. I also think the media is painting a doomsday scenario for him, just so they can turn around and say "Obama is back, the magic is back" when we get closer to the election. Lets see if I'm right about that....

Love that quote!

In the vernacular of Antebellumness. Who'd vote for that darky? I will. I will. But, he needs to suspend his bullshit appeasement to the Repubs. Fuck them! They won't go along, so he needs to show some teeth.

Want to be an asshole? OK, but it will cost you.
