Hoping to become “closer to God,†members of a Christian congregation in South Africa are eating grass.Pastor Lesego Daniel of Rabboni Centre Ministries orders his congregation to eat the grass growing at his ministry in Garankuwa, north of Pretoria, telling his followers the act of eating grass will “bring them closer to God,†according to a report issued Jan. 10 by the Daily Mail.http://www.examiner....e-closer-to-god
Cheaper than a lawnmower or a goat perhaps. And then the congregation got ecoli or organophosphate poisoning........

Thinks this applies more generally - you don't become persecuted just because you lost some advantage.

I thought that while reading the SLC Trib about gay marriage a few weeks ago.
At the time, the court had ruled that marriages could commence, and the demand was so high that they were considering opening on Saturday to get these peeps hitched. One of the comments said something like "I don't agree with it, but the court ruled and we should honor the ruling. On the other hand, they should not have any special privileges such as being able to get married on Saturday. Equal, but nothing special."
Of course this was written by a white, mormon male, who lived in Utah county and had enjoyed nothing but special privilege his entire life. His entire life was advantage, from start to finish, especially if he stayed there in Utah county, which I'm sure he would. Totally clueless.

Meanwhile, the chief executive of its co-organiser, Christian Concern – who wanted to sue the Law Society on the grounds of intolerance – was recently at another conference in Jamaica lobbying against the repeal of the law criminalising gay sex there. It’s a tricky thing, this intolerance.
