My friend is pregnant w/her second kid, a boy. She told me they don't like telling people name choices because everyone has an opinion. I was like come on, just tell me. She said one choice was Elliott. I immediately threw out "Elliott is a fat kid that eats paste". She didn't look too happy.
How many times have I told you not to play with the dirty money??

Na, an Elliott is a kid who grows up to be a famous actor/icon like Elliott Gould from M*A*S*H and Ocean's Eleven. Your friend has a good point about telling people name choices. I have a hard time keeping my tongue under control when young people name their kids something from my grandmother's era like Mabel or Clara---two babies in my neighborhood. But I do. I've seen some terrible family fights over baby names and it's not fair to steal someone's joy over something as important and personal as picking a baby name.
