Doesn't sound like much compared to the whole, but he plays those notes smooth as silk, compared to many bassists. A great band needs great rhythm. Often comes from the drummer, but GNR has always been bass dependent, both for providing that deep bottom but also for song writing. SOOO often bass is just one note held per measure of music...Duff always did so much more.

Been listening to the AFD expanded version or whatever. Rocket Queen, a few versions - first half is one of the greatest songs ever, second half is okay but kinda meh in comparison.

Went to the LA zoo today. I walked by a guy who looked identical to Slash. I did a triple take. But he was too young, no grey hair and slim face. Dude was working it hard though, I'll give him that.

OMG those GnR tickets for the November show at Caesar's Palace are retarded, what's left anyway.

That new band with Geezer Butler, Steve Stevens and Matt Sorum - don't remember the name. But they're playing Slither by Velvet Revolver in their live shows and I realized I wasn't sure I even knew the song. I listen and was right, never heard it before, I guess VR passed me by.

haha, it would be cheaper to fly that that festival and see them there. Total cost for two floor tickets for Caesar's is 2300+
