Bit harsh on Rick to say he only ever had one hit song. He had several other top tenners in the UK, and Together Forever was number one in the US.
Same for Firehouse actually. The early 90's before grunge was really good to them for a short bit.

Haha, I don't know much about him and I guessed he'd probably had other hits. I just wanted a semi-legitimate reason to post that video.

Actually Bobby McFerrin is still quite popular in Jazz/vocal/improv circles, and is one of the leading beatboxers. He does great live performances, especially with his son, also a beatboxer. Pretty talented audience too!
I think a good comparison would be Herbie Hancock. He's often seen as a one hit wonder by people who aren't aware that he's an accomplished jazz musician.
When this song came out, there was nothing like it and it was played everywhere. I remember kids walking around with their boom boxes playing it over and over.
