Very sad...

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her flat in north London, police said. She was 27 years old.
The soul singer struggled with drink and drug addictions. Her death is being treated as unexplained.

"Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square shortly before 4:05 pm (1505 GMT) today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased," a police statement said.

"On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained."

Winehouse pulled out of a recent comeback tour following a disastrous performance in Serbia.

The singer initially pulled out of festival shows in Istanbul and Athens but her management then cancelled all her remaining gigs.

What's sad is that I know her more as a junkie than as a singer. Can't say I know a single song of hers.
Sister burn the temple
And stand beneath the moon
The sound of the ocean is dead
It's just the echo of the blood in your head

You really need a new profile pic for that name...unless you know something about POTUS that I don't.

She was supremely talented. What a waste.

How ironic....probably should have said "yes I'll go to rehab."

Here is video of Amy Winehouse shot 3 days before she died, she looked pretty good, not at all what I was expecting.

I also read that as long as 3 years ago she was diagnosed with emphysema and cardiac arrhythmias from excessive crack cocaine use. Sad.

Crack abusers don't always look like what people think they do. Half the guys I knew who used or I was in rehab with were fat. When I was 26/27 I ended up in the ER and was admitted to the hospital. A nurse came in and spoke to me about her brother who had died of cirrhosis before he was 30. It was very strange to have her come in and talk to me like that. She basically said do you want to live or would you prefer to die? I remember the room was very dimly lit when she talked to me. Anyway...I just remembered that for some reason. I got sober finally a few months later.

So very sad. I never got into her so much, but she was a gifted musician who was, yes, equally troubled. There were demons and addictions she just couldn't overcome, and that would be such a difficult thing. May she now be in peace. Hopefully, like so many other musicians who died at the same age, she will be remembered in more of a legendary way rather than for the way she was mainly known for in life. (copied and pasted from hi jack) You guys don't remember the rehab song?

I did a search for her on youtube, and it seemed like almost every single convert video she was too fucked up to sing. I can't believe people would pay money to see this....
