I think it's hilarious that some people still engage Flagg in "conversation" & try to point out facts. Why bother? Quite obvious that Flagg is a git.....or whatever. Anyway, why bother w/someone who believes themselves the upper hand when they really aren't? I mean, what does it get you? Nothing but a bunch of time wasted. Sorry Flagg, your douchness I'm not fond of, and I suspect most others aren't fond of it as well. Now you go & spout a bunch of proper english, big words & a lot of proudness but we all know what you really are....an asshole disguised as someone who thinks they are beyond that. Yawn.

Time of death of Troy Davis was at 11:08PM
http://www.democracynow.org/ live streaming

Is it still "live" streaming at that point?

Regarding Coulter: Casings were found at two separate crimes scenes.. The ballistics expert stated that they 'may'' have come from the same gun. The murder weapon was never recovered. Neither was any clothing Davis was allegedly wearing according to these same witnesses. Based upon never having recovered the murder weapon, the experts cannot conclusively state which gun was used, other than a .38.
It only can be concluded that although Troy Davis was witnessed shooting the gun PRIOR to moving to the vicinity of MacPhail's murder, it was never conclusively proved beyond a reasonable doubt that it was he, not Redd Coles, who actually shot the Officer. Then the witness statements come in:

Recantations: "Several of Davis's friends testified [against him] without recantations." Coulter is wrong. The truth is in the Habeas Corpus filed in the Georgia Supreme Court 2010).Seven of nine witnesses at the initial trial recanted. There were 34 witnesses at the original trial, including police officers, detectives, ballistics experts. These are not eyewitnesses to the murder of Officer MacPhail, as Coulter implies.

It goes on.....the airmen. As I stated before there was one witness who saw the entire incident and it was ONE airman who saw things clearly enough to ID Davis. Unfortunately, the airmen's van was parked 120ft from the scene across a dark parking.
; the the lady in the hotel across the street, the witness in the car who ducked when he heard bullets flying. It's all in the links that already have been posted in this thread

Here's Coulter less-than-brilliant summation of the case: "(Troy Davis) is as quilty as every other executed man since at least 1950, which is to be guilty as hell" Because, Lord knows, we've never convicted and executed an innocent man. Such certainty - AND she has a whole staff of researchers at her beck and call who could've found this out.

Well, regardless of how Coulter's punditry-laced readings of the proceedings were, it seems that enough of the legal establishment involved agreed with her ultimate assessment. She was a lawyer before her media/writing career so she does have a legal background to draw on and she also has to throw red meat to her fans in her weekly column. You should have seen her tweets about it. I actually had not heard of the case until the day before the execution so other than what was in Coulter's piece, all I had picked up were the points that you and others made. Her piece was the only thing I saw that took the opposing perspective on the case.
Why do you read that kind of crap, Art? Seriously, I don't get it.

We've all seen it, and perhaps this, too. But, it bears repeating:

Wow, A sequel. Like most it wasn't as good as the original and got boring halfway through. Nice bit of casting adding John Cusack though.

Troy Davis: guilty as charged

He missed the point, as did Coulter.

1) I haven't heard too many people speculate that Davis was absolutely innocent. I have, however, heard most people say to pinpoint him as the shooter is problematic.

2) This assumption that all liberals are against the death penalty is silly.

He presents a similar argument to Coulter and the other guy, who, as you said, missed the point.

The only people missing the point are those who are taking their talking points from amnesty international and other related groups who want to exploit this case to add weight to their agenda to end the death penalty. Very few people get the amount of exposure and review from the court system, and at no point is anyone saying the court system was biased or unfair. They aren't saying that because they have nothing what so ever to make that claim on. The man was found guilty far beyond a reasonable doubt, retried multiple times and still found guilty. Like the article says, it's easy to win an argument in the public realm, much harder to do so when actual evidence, proof and and reliance on logic are required. The man was a thug who killed a cop, and he got the needle for it. Thousands cry and scream. How many Americans died last week in Afghanistan under the president's increased presence there? Anyone know. Yet where are the thousands in the streets beging to end their injustice. Hypocrites and sheep.

a far worse punishment, which is what prison is supposed to be, would be life in prison. no parole. one innocent person put to death is too many. I didn't follow this man's case so I have no idea if he was guilty or not. I would rather see him rot in jail than put to death. if innocent that injustice would be bad enough.

How much does it cost the taxpayers to put someone to sleep I wonder? Weird that people would be all for that. Personally, if someone killed one of my loved ones, I'd do the job myself w/the added bonus of some torture mixed in.
