My Princess BoyTM is a nonfiction picture book about acceptance. It tells the tale of a 4-year-old boy who happily expresses his authentic self by enjoying "traditional girl" things like jewelry, sparkles or anything pink. It is designed to start and continue a dialogue about unconditional friendship and teaches children -- and adults -- how to accept and support children for who they are and how they wish to look.

I'm pretty open-minded but I don't think I could let my four year old get labeled "princess boy" at such an early age. Let him play dress up from time to time, sure but to embrace what could have just been a passing phase if not encouraged to the extent that mother is doing, I couldn't do that. I'd worry too much about what is going to happen when he gets into school and he's still openly cross-dressing---and that's what we're talking about here. Cross-dressers are not necessarily homosexuals either so I'd also worry that he'll become confused about his gender as he gets older and he's spent his grade school years not only being treated like a little girl by his peers but also celebrated in such a public way.
