Very sad. What a waste of an enormous talent.

Very sad, and such a waste of talent.

A guy I used to work with committed suicide last week. He had a serious drug problem (pills) for years and was in total denial. I was not close to him. I thought he was nice enough, but I always found him creepy and wasn't interested in being closer than a work acquaintance. First we heard it was an OD. The next day my buddy said they found him in the park shot to death but didn’t know what happened. Finally by the end of the week it was ruled a suicide. It was sad that he ended his life like that, but even more sad that he didn’t seek help, or those around him didn’t hold an intervention of some kind. Everybody knew he was a drug addict, but nobody got in his face about it.

For a star like Houston it would be a cinch to surround yourself with “yes” people and push those who care away, ultimately leading to her own demise.
