I know it got shit reviews, but I really liked Batman V Superman.  But I also thought Man of Steel was really good.

I have maybe seen 10 of these movies. Most fell about where I thought they should.

I know it got shit reviews, but I really liked Batman V Superman.  But I also thought Man of Steel was really good.

I loved it. Most reviewers already had their minds made up. Plus it's not as family friendly as Marvle films are.

That's why I really liked Man of Steel and Batman V Superman.  It's not told through the lens of the silver age of comics.  I loved how they showed what a person would be like if they had to hide and be ashamed of their identity their entire life.  That there are consequences for destroying downtown, and that neither Batman or Superman give a damn and are willing to do what is necessary to win.  I think Marvel is finally going to get there with Civil War, but we'll see.

Arbitrage - Richard Gere has never really wowed me but he was absolutely amazing in this film playing basically Gordon Gekko with a far nastier mean streak and the desperation of Denzel from Training Day.
