The new Queensryche singer seemed to fit the bill for me. I have heard that Tate can't hit all that old stuff these days. The big thing is that Tate sort of drove the band into the ground after Chris Degarmo left. The rest of the original members fired him and have returned to a more metal thing like their early years.
