I saw them two weeks ago in Philadelphia. Great show. That drummer was rock fucking solid.
It really was a great show. A little short on the setlist, but it's metal so you have your 8 minute songs and whatnot. And they're old. Wish they would have actually played, rather than just teasing, "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath". But I saw them on a Sunday...as I emailed my buddy to inform him that we would be going, "Remember the Sabbath, and keep it Black". It was the day before my classes started...I can't tell you how much I wished to see some acne scarred 18 year old kid wearing a concert tee...but, alas, there was none to be seen.
But here's what gets me. This band is THE most important band in metal history. And I paid $25 (after fees!!!!!!) to sit in the lawn. Were this Zeppelin (without Bonzo, so 75%, which is what we saw here) the cost for that lawn seat would have been well into the hundreds of dollars. Just goes to show the degree to which metal still isn't mainstream.
