I'm entering my husband in Redbook's Hottest Husband of 2012 contest. Here are the rules:
"In order to be considered, you must answer all the questions below and tell us in 200 words or fewer why your guy is so hot. You also must upload a recent photo of him alone." (Their bolding.)
Which photo should I submit?
1. A fuller shot in his hot motorcycle leathers.
2. A more close-up shot with him holding a kitten (would this disqualify himbecause he's not "alone"?).
To see last year's photo submissions, go here and scroll through (there are25).
This is my 200 word essay:
The first time I “saw” my husband was in a photo, decked out in climbing gear, hanging from ropes from the side of a mountain. The first time I SAW my husband, he was in his motorcycle “leathers”, carrying his helmet under his arm, having just arrived in Amsterdam for a St. Patrick’s Day weekend celebration. Hot? Oh, my!
But as I learned that weekend, he’s not hot because he’s good-looking, he’s hot because he’s the complete package. I fell in love with him from across the room, watching him interacting with other people, seeing him take genuine interest in what they said, and beaming the warmest smile I’d ever seen. Our first kiss was on a canal boat, and it’s been a beautiful journey ever since.
His first gift to me was The Little Prince, which he inscribed, “I know a flower – I think she must have tamed me.” He moved halfway around the world to give me the life I’ve always dreamed of; from little things like turning down my side of the bed, to letting me spend the bulk of our savings on home renovations so we’d qualify to become Foster Parents. That’s my definition of hot!
