Why does everybody care that much about karma? Should I just do away with this feature?
It's all our nothing. We don't have the option for just thumbs up. .

I don't care one way or the other about the karma. On this site, I tend to forget it's even a choice...........but if you take Freedom's suggestion I might start paying attention.

In all seriousness, wedjat, what difference does it make if someone gives you a thumbs down? We already know from their posts if someone disagrees with us, or not. If they could also give us a private comment along with that thumbs down like we can do with positive rep points at C-D then I could see your point about disabling the function because those private comments could really get ugly and cause a lot of friction. But a number up or down on the karma is really meaningless. One: we all join at different times so none of us started out even. Two: I seriously doubt most people even look at our karma numbers often enough to know if someone's number is go up or down.

A. I was being facetious when I said that was fucking bullshit & B. If no one cares about karma, why are people giving it out or taking it away? Sorry, call me immature, but I find it spiteful that someone would take karma points away.
