Being impatient, I've read a little about the comics - there is a major character called the governor who they could combine into Merle. Merle has to be an enemy, wonder how they will play out his brother's story. And the helicopter.....
Just ordered the first compendium of the comic books for myself as a xmas present from my wife

Episode 5 was pretty slow, not bad but didn't really advance the plot and little action. Weird that Daryl came along without much objection. Guess the season finale will revolve around CDC, but it will end badly.

Last episode was pretty slow for an AMC season finale.

I dvr'd all the episodes & have watched them every few weeks. I'm a little obsessed. My favorite episode was the first & also "Vatos". Now we wait til October for the new season....NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Oh yeah, what about Merle & the black father & his kid? Can't wait to see what their story is.
How many times have I told you not to play with the dirty money??

The black father and his kid will be back, that's from the comic - they are in it at the start, then show up much later. Merle's not in the comic but can't imagine he won't be back
