Calf fries is one thing I have never had a desire to try.

They are tender and quite tasty.

Zimbochick - I've got a general rule to never eat anything that is healthy if there's a better tasting unhealthy alternative Posted Image

So true. I recently tasted "healthy" donuts, and they were just wrong.

Fat-free sour cream seems to be one of the only things to escape this loophole.

Added one new thing to my list today - elvers (baby eels).

When I first read that, I thought it said 'baby seals'. Posted Image Posted Image

Anyone ever eaten seal, just out of interest....?

Have a friend that had a baculum for a toothpic, and I have seen a few fossil ones, too.

Has anyone ever had Wagyu (Kobe) beef? That's something I really want to try.

Other indredients on my list:

Bluefin tuna (unethical I know, but if it's going to go extinct, I'd like to try it before it does)

Bresse chicken (thinking about getting one of these for Christmas this year)

British rose veal

Hogget (this is meat from a one-year old sheep, so older than lamb, younger than mutton)

Foie gras (I've had this as part of a chicken liver parfait, but would like to try it on its own. I imagine I'll probably tick this box on my honeymoon)

Ortolan bunting (due to this being illegal, unfortunately I think it's highly unlikely I'll ever to get to give it a go)
