That whole case is sickening. But no more sickening as when a similar coverup was exposed in the Boy Scouts or in the Catholic Church. It makes you wonder if society will ever get to a point that we protect kids the way we should.

From what I heard.. Paterno actually did report the Kid in the shower incident back in 1997 and the DA he reported to ended up going missing... charges were never filed.
It was the cases years later that got everyone in trouble.
so going by that.. Joe Pa certainly did his part on the case everyone talks about.

Just talkin that specific incident. weird the DA turned up missing though isn't it???
all u hear is how the Student assistant or whatever told him what he saw in the shower.. .paterno actually DID report that to DA. no charges filed cause he turned up missing...
doesn't excuse the rest.. but thought that was interesting to those who think he did absolutely nothing the entire time.

I gotta admit. I couldn't have been more wrong about this.
I wanted to at least get all the facts before condemning Joe Pa.. but damn... never would've believed this in a million years.

D, I love ya but I'm perplexed as to how you didn't see this coming. I think everyone did, lol! It's so beyond totally sickening & disgusting I could just vomit. All of those people involved are going to hell, for sure. I hope their wives divorce them & get everything in the deal. I hope they go to prison & get the same treatment those poor kids got by Sandusky. Those people are the lowest of the low, scum.
How many times have I told you not to play with the dirty money??

The NCAA has hit Penn State with a $60 million sanction, a four-year football postseason ban and a vacation of all wins dating to 1998, the organization said Monday morning. The career record of Joe Paterno will reflect these vacated records, the NCAA said.
Penn State must also reduce 10 initial and 20 total scholarships each year for a four-year period. The NCAA revealed the sanctions as NCAA president Mark Emmert and Ed Ray, the chairman of the NCAA's executive committee and Oregon State's president, spoke at a news conference in Indianapolis at the organization's headquarters.
