But hey, people still think I'm younger than I actually am when they meet me so fuck it!
Up until a few years ago people were always shocked when I told them how old I was. I always got "I thought you were much younger." That hasn't happened for a long time now. These days I notice a lot of people calling me "Sir" now....which is really weird. I wasn't hearing that shit 3-4 years ago.
When you're in your 20's you're fast to get in a picture, when you're 40 you're quick to duck out, haha.
The first time someone called me 'mam' instead 'Miss' I was shocked too. But what really makes me feel old is when you get a certain age and strangers start calling you 'dear' or 'sweetie' like you're a patient in a nursing home. Al least I had a lot of years in between the first 'mam' and the first 'dear'.

Ugh, that's the worst. I hate when people talk to seniors like that! It's not like somebody hits a certain age and they become retarded.
Speaking of elders, I'm going to meet my rock star buddy for dinner tonight: 83 yrs old and a total asshole ballbuster. I had him over for dinner two weeks ago with the MIL and he was relentless in ripping on me, haha. It's a real Don Rickles, dysfunctional crazy uncle type of relationship. The only bad thing is that my MIL is stupid so she believed half the crap he said about me, lol.
