I've been using duckduckgo a lot more frequently lately. Takes awhile to get used to not simply googling everything. I downloaded Brave when it was mentioned on evo but I've always been a huge fan of firefox.
I don't like social media but I am glad some legitimate alternatives are popping up. All this shit is getting out of hand.
I saw this today so I'll post it in this thread.....
The hypocrisy doesn't make it any less true.

I was actually more struck by the all-female nature of the room...white is a strong majority of hte country, while female should be just about half.

Well one is a political party and the other is a liberal blog. I also think this is a false argument. Nobody I know is inherently against the GOP because they are white. But they may take offense to subsets of that party who make racist overtones or are blatantly racist while the remainder stay silent. The long form birth certificate is a great example. This was clearly driven by racism, yet how many of the Republicans sat quietly as it went on for years?
I don't like putting up memes and arguing their merit personally. That's all there is on FB or Twitter for instance, and we don't know anything more than the pictures(s) presented to us at the time. If we want to be picky, I could say there are 3-4 Asian females at the end and a couple others who look to have Latin heritage. But is this their entire staff? Or just a few people that day? I don't know. So sure, it's funny side by side, but that's about it.

I used to hate all the meme shit years ago and tried to keep it to a minimum but a lot of that shit is funny now. The ones I find funny are those that have hints of truth to them. As far as that specific meme goes, the pic of Huffpo staff by itself is irrelevant. Is it their entire staff? Probably not. Having said that, they should probably check out their own selfies before judging others or its going to become a meme displaying their hypocrisy.
Of course the birth certificate thing was horse shit. I remember at that roast when Obama was making jokes about it in Trump's presence... he took it way too seriously.

I think it speaks to the hypocrisy of free association. "If we don't like you, we can refuse service. But if you refuse service to someone we like, we'll ruin your business/life".
I don't know the details, but for me much of it hinges on the civil rights act and whether a business is generally open to the public. If this is a dress shop/tailor that makes dresses for anyone who comes in, then I'd have a problem with it. If it's not open to the public in that fashion, it's less of a problem, though still stupid.
