I finally got around to watching this last night. Was pleasantly surprised as I expected a total cluster fuck, which is why I waited so long. I think this was the best horror remake yet, although that isn't really saying much. I was never a huge Freddy fan and always felt the original should have never been turned into a franchise. They were smart and kept a serious tone and didn't turn him into Rodney Dangerfield.
