I bet it is extremely loyal. I think the only way I couldn't be afraid of one is if I raised it from day one. Seeing one in person is amazingly intimidating. If I lived in a rural area where security may be a concern, I'd consider one. Some of them are really beautiful to me (although the one up top looks like a fatty, lol.)

From what I'm reading they are really loyal to their masters and good with little kids. It does say if they aren't trained they can knock kids down without even realizing it, lol. Looks like the biggy is they just stand between the owner and anybody they feel is a threat. Won't let 'em pass etc.

cool. One thing that has popped into my head hear is, I wouldn't want to take one for a walk and have to pick up their poop.
