How awesome that two of you got to witness this!  Going to these shows is sort of like playing the lottery and hoping you win big with the show you're going to see, because someone might just show up.  Watching the video - yeah - made me want to sort of cry, too!

"Anybody else feel stupid for supporting the CD era?   :P"    I gotta' say it, J - "told ya' so".  I never could get into it because it wasn't, well, the same.  So many of us would get into trouble for saying that, like, at HTGTH, in years past.  You didn't dare say it because your post would be deleted.  How far we've come in the GnR saga.  Loving it, today!

Saw them at Detroit Ford Field last night!  Great show!  For me, epic moments included seeing Coma live, the end of November Rain, and Knockin' on Heaven's Door.  But, loved every second!  First time seeing GnR, live, at all.  Should have gone back in the day, but didn't.  Then, had no desire for many years.  Was awesome seeing 3 of them on stage together again!

Is it me, or does mid-life bloat only seem to happen to lead singers?

No, it's happened to me, too.

I think Axl sounds great doing the AC/DC songs.  Wasn't sure he could pull it off.  He and Angus are the highlights of that show, that's for sure.  When I saw clips from earlier in the tour with Brian, Angus was carrying the show (I felt, anyway); the only good thing about it.  Brian sounded awful and looked like an old man.  Seriously.

I didn't know she was streaming it until a half an hour in! I just uploaded the videos on youtube now. They don't seem to look as I thought they would. The audio is great though. I wonder if the video portion was degraded a bit because it was streaming? Dunno. I admire her shoulder strength immensely, especially for filming an Opus like Coma or November Rain.

The video portion looks great!  Honestly, the best audio and video of all that I was watching.  I had a couple different feeds up through periscope and ustream, and Nina's was the best.  So, I just kept watching for hers and then would go with that.  Great job!

J, thank you, again, to you and your wife for allowing me to see the show through the FB videos!  It was way better than any of the Periscope feeds!

Weeeelllll........ since you asked......I personally think Izzy is strange.  Great but strange.  I don't think he wants anything to do with being back full time, ever; I think those bridges are burned for him.  Rumors are they couldn't settle on a monetary deal for him to guest, but I find that hard to believe.  Yet, he chooses NOW to open a Twitter account...why now? I'm not really asking, but just pointing out that he uses this time to finally start doing some social media.

Steven's a wild card.  Maybe he'll have guest spots.  Maybe they don't trust his drumming full time, who knows.  I'm afraid he's gone off the deep end someplace, you know?

I'd like to see Matt do some guest drumming somewhere, but he's really not in that picture of AFD players, and neither's Gilby, so maybe that won't happen.

Then again, maybe GNR didn't want to kick out two more players to make room for any of those four people.  Wouldn't have hurt my feelings any.  Still, that being said, I don't believe Ashba truly left willingly - I think he was given a lucrative deal to move on in order to open a spot back up for Slash.  Ashba probably didn't see his gig there as going anyplace anyway.

Ha! Ha!  That's the same one I've got up!  That's great!  I keep getting ads, but only for a few seconds.  That's funny that you were telling your wife about me.  I can only hope that this isn't just a "one off" thing, you know?  I'd like to see them continue on like this and make more music

Glad to hear you're going.  I'm sitting here, logged into HTGTH, and watching updates just like I did last Friday and living vicariously through others' experiences.   Can't even get into mygnrforum.com.   First time I've been this excited about a current incarnation of GNR in over 20 years!
