i'd give anything for a bagel! haven't had them in ages cuz they don't have them here.

anyhow, on topic, i'm not quite sure i was advocating anything in peculiar. was just thinking there are tons of situations where a woman can "choose" to be a single mom and that it's not okay to generalize and state all of them women live below the level of poverty, imo.
tbh, i see lots of kids outta here, say 14-16 yo girls, who choose to raise kids and that's something that upsets me quite a lot, more than any 30 yo woman who wouldn't tell a guy about her pregnancy. :/ fi, if she gets pregnant after a one night stand and she chooses to raise the kid (whatever her reasons are), i don't see why she should tell the guy about this. and trust me, there are lots of women who do that. on the contrary, if there's been some commitment, that is a real relationship and not some random sex for the sake of it, it's not okay when the woman doesn't say a word about her pregancy, unless the dude is a total fucked up.

i still can't believe this, read about her fall two days ago and it seems she couldn't hit her head that hard. :/ they say she didn't wear a helmet but.. i don't know, that's so stupid, the circumstances are pretty ridiculous.

anyhow, some of you guys tend to be stereotyping. you make it sound like every woman who chose to be a single mom lives below poverty level, which is quite untrue. i know of some women who chose to be single mums because they knew they could support a kid on their own . and i think some people's problem here is that some women want to raise kids by themselves. that must hurt some machos here, ouch! i'm not saying it doesn't have consequences on the kid's behavior or that's it's any better/worse than *normal* familes. i don't know about that but let's not put the blame on people and make it sound like they're so bad mothers their kids always wind up in jail. i for one know it's not any better to have both your parents around if they can't create a stable environment.
