On a side note, back in the 70s, I challenged DLR ability to drink a fifth of whisky at the concert... what a PUSSY, he drinks Jack Daniels... Hell, my mother could drink that shit!

I've grown to see little purpose in Jack. If you're mixing with non-liquor (i.e. whiskey and coke, etc.), then the quality isn't all that important and you might as well save the money and get Jim Beam. If you're making an all liquor drink (e.g. Manhattan) or drinking straight up, then Jack is too low quality. Its popularity is because of good marketing and a badass label, rather than quality, and that marketing lets them charge WAY too much for it...you'd be better off spending another $5 to get something MUCH better.
