With the rumor of a Soundgarden-Pearl Jam tour, here's a Temple of the Dog demo. When you get down to brass tacks though, it's a Cornell demo. He had that Temple of the Dog material ready for launch before the grunge supergroup was even assembled.

Forgot I had this in my 4shared folder. Video of their performance of Jesus Christ Pose when opening for GNR in 91. That 91 version of GNR bad ass but I feel sorry for anyone forced to follow this band. Axl's wait to show up onstage certainly warranted on this leg of the tour.

Cornell is doing a solo acoustic tour in the Spring. So what exactly was the point of the Soundgarden reunion?

Good question and the whole thing has been a massive disappointment. Telephantasm and the coming live album could have been released without a reunion. I'm starting to think the reunion was mainly done for the purpose of closure. There was animosity between those guys and reuniting and doing a few shows seems to have changed that.

I have a feeling those recent studio pics of the band were simply pics taken when they were polishing up Black Rain and NOT the recording of any new material. Also possible they were polishing up some B sides for the possibility of that release. Telephantasm was originally supposed to be a 2 cd set of B sides and unreleased songs until they decided to aim for a casual crowd.

They have already stated they have no interest in touring and if Cornell is back to concentrating on his solo career, they definitely aren't recording new material and we can pretty much consider Soundgarden dead in the water.
