Why are Joel and Axl getting flack for this? Billy's always done the "gospel song" leadup and done Highway to Hell the past 3 years (in the past he's had a roadie do vocals, at least he did in 2014 and 2016 in Philly and Pittsburgh respectfully). Axl lives in LA, and he's been fronting AC/DC the past year. So why wouldn't it be cool for both to be on stage. Was it a problem when Axl and Elton John did Bohemian Rhapsody at the Freddie Concert?
Slash can play the superbowl with Fergie while she butchers SCOM, and everyone claps. It's like Axl can do no right.

I thought the Billy Joel thing was great. I always wanted Axl/GNR to either do something with him or cover one of his songs. I never expected Big Shot though.
I hope more things like this continue to happen. He's not getting any younger and neither are his peers or artists he looked up to as a kid/teen. I also wet dreamed over an Axl/Cornell appearance but now that can never happen. He always wanted to do something with Reznor. He should put out feelers. On the next NIN tour, make an appearance.

No you're not. Many hardcores want to start seeing actual music releases, whether its a new GH/Best Of, deluxe editions of the classic albums(we may get an announcement of AFD on Wednesday), or a killer live album/DVD.

let's face it Guns is a touring band now. I think we'll see Axl release an album with AC/dc before a new guns album, other then a new greatest hits.

At this point we'll be lucky to get a new GH. The label appears to have no desire to release anything and just let the current discography sell. Yeah we're only 13 months into this reunion but SOMETHING should've been released by now.
During Soundgarden's reunion, we already had two releases(Telephantasm and Live on I5) at this point in the timeline.
I'll be at the Oakland show.

I was looking at their merch and they are really pushing AFD30. Something has to be up. There is no reason to do that just for a tour aimed at casual audiences. We all know AFD exists and casual audiences only care for the hits.
If there is an AFD deluxe edition on tap this year, they simply avoid the actual anniversary entirely and release it in the fall.
I still don't understand why the label isn't salivating to get something in stores. A new compilation will sell/stream like hotcakes.

I care. I'd kill for new stuff, but I'm happy living in a world where 60% of the original lineup tours. Beats the last 20 years for a GNR fan.

They can feel free to bring that normal tour setlist to fucking Indiana any time they want. Chicago is set to get a third show on this tour before I get one. They afraid Izzy's mom is gonna show up and badger them for cutting him outta the loot?

GNR forums are giving him shit for Black Hole Sun. I actually thought it was pretty good. I hope it becomes a staple for the rest of the year.
I don't understand hardcore fans sometimes. Whine for something new to be in the setlist, they do a tribute to Cornell and perform a SG song when they could have easily just dedicated KOHD to him, and they piss and moan.
I thought they wanted new songs in the set? GNR camp check the forums and when they see the bitching, realize how crazy the hardcores are and that nothing satisfies them, so just please your casual audiences there to hear the hits.
They cant win with their hardcores no matter what they do, so just do the minimum. Even though I don't agree with it, I'm starting to understand Beta's "you people don't deserve an album" stance of a few years back even though I mocked it for years.
