My favorite quote from Axl/DC Youtube vids:

"Hold on bitches, Axl Rose just engaged the Godlike mode!!!!"

Sister burn the temple
And stand beneath the moon
The sound of the ocean is dead
It's just the echo of the blood in your head

Didn't Johnson say he can still record? I swore that was in his message to the fans when it was announced he's stepping down. I don't think Axl's involvement will extend beyond these tour dates, and I don't think he'll record with AC/DC. I think your GN'R love might be getting the better if you.

GN'R sounds great. The members who matter are there. I'm hoping they hit the studio and Axl focuses solely on Guns.

Only by frantically engaging in boundless optimism can our GNR dreams be crushed, as they so often are.  In other words, we're just doing our part.

Johnson indicated he will still record. What was unclear was if it will be with AC/DC. Signs point to no.

Why do you read that kind of crap, Art? Seriously, I don't get it.

It's cool that Axl is getting kudos for touring with them, but I've listened to every clip presented and I always think "Johnson is so much better for this song."

Knockin' on Heavens Door, Mama Kin, sympathy and even live and let die are all songs I think Axl does better than the original. I'm just not feeling that with his AC/DC covers.

The last time Brian sang Thunderstruck....

My grandma could sing it better than that. He aint coming back. Angus pulled the plug at the right moment. He also picked a perfect replacement.

Axl's voice is too good to not enter a studio. GNR or AC/DC....flip a coin if he has to.

So it looks like Alice in Chains and Lenny Kravitz will be the openers.  Saw AIC open for VR in 2007 and we know that Lenny and Slash were tight.  Looks like Slash handled the openers for this tour.

I think Axl sounds great doing the AC/DC songs.  Wasn't sure he could pull it off.  He and Angus are the highlights of that show, that's for sure.  When I saw clips from earlier in the tour with Brian, Angus was carrying the show (I felt, anyway); the only good thing about it.  Brian sounded awful and looked like an old man.  Seriously.
