So my 4S delivery date has subtly been changed from Oct 14th to 'as early as Oct 14th' - bastards.

Are you replacing an earlier model?

Not mine, but wife's 3GS - which is going to daughter as iPod touch. See that you can actually sell a 3GS for $150+ so have been tempted to sell mine to fund a 4S also, but want to hold out for a possible iPhone 5 in the Spring. Will see also how 3GS handles ios5 which is supposed to be out tomorrow I think?

So the iPhone will function as a Touch without being linked to a phone number? Didn't know that. I think ios5 is out tomorrow. Will load it on my touch. And I too am waiting for iPhone 5.

^ So true. Reminds me of when my mom first saw one of my kids who was about 4 using a Mac I set up for them. She was totally blown away by how they used it so effortlessly and it took her awhile to "get" how computers worked as she had just learned how to use a PC a few years prior.

My daughter didn't need to be shown how to use an iPhone touch/swipe interface - just came naturally. Computer took a little more but not much. Caught her searching youtube for who knows what the other day. Yes, I'm the bad parent y'all vilify for letting their kid on the internet unsupervised.

tap, I think trusting your kid is far better than hanging over her head while she plays or learns on line. I think being open to life and having a parent willing to talk about whatever she might run across is the only way to go.

Ha, she's seen me reading the forum and asked what it was. It's actually pretty safe here with Randall protecting us from the homosexual agenda :D
