Obviously the Trump strategery here is to use the Steele dossier to discredit the legitimacy of Mueller’s investigation. The claim is that the Steele dossier is unproven paid for oppo research and was not described adequately to the FISA judge. Trey Gowdy states without the dossier he believes the FISA judge would have denied the surveillance request.

Have you noticed that Mueller has been conducting this investigation for nearly a year? The idea that he only knows what the Hannity-Nunes comedy act is telling everyone is off the charts stupid. We were even talking about it before the Carter Page Fisa which appears to have been approved and then renewed three times. The stupid of how this is now being spun burns

The idea of a full military parade in DC gives me chills.  That's just fucking disturbing and the parallels are so obvious, regardless of the authoritarian regime you want to point to in comparison.

The theme of GOP objections seems to be that opposition research is biased and therefore must be untrue.  Given that all prosecutions are biased against the alleged criminal, wouldn't the logic indicate that all allegations must be untrue?  The notion that oppo research is meant to manufacture dirt rather than to find it seems to be the entire basis of this objection.

 

Either way, Bob Mueller is a serious man and a Republican, so I can't see how anyone could think he's leading a frivolous investigation.

The way that Grassley and Graham have turned around the fact that he came to the FBI with the oppo because he was so concerned he gave it to them for free - to him being some kind of federal criminal is truly bizarre. Especially since he did it through Graham's best buddy McCain.
