He said as much that he was trying to play the songs to help Ozzy's voice just as Randy Rhodes suggested to Ozzy in 1979. I recall they that worked pretty well for Ozzy No?

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY has dropped off the remaining dates on the "Pedal To The Metal Tour" due to the health of frontman Zakk Wylde. Wylde has been diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs and was admitted to a Eugene, Oregon hospital this afternoon.
The "Pedal To The Metal Tour" will continue without BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, and the rest of the bands — MUDVAYNE, STATIC-X, SUICIDE SILENCE and BURY YOUR DEAD — will carry on with the trek as scheduled.
BLS apologizes to ticket holders on the remaining "Pedal To The Metal" dates for the inconvenience, as well as to all BLSNATION meet-and-greet purchasers who gathered for the event this afternoon in Eugene and in the remaining cities. BLSNATION refunds will be processed promptly.
Further updates on Zakk's medical condition will become available as they are known.
Photo below was taken last week during one of Zakk Wylde's visits to the hospital to receive treatment for his blood clots.

He should recover as reported on Liquid Metal, however the hard drinking days will be over for Zakk. He will be on Meds and a strict healthier life style. It's ironic that the guy who just stated that he didn't want to see Ozzy flame out due to concerns about his health and taint his Rock Legendary Status; ends up in a hospital with real health concerns.

“To all our Black Label family worldwide, thanks for all the ‘get-wells. Every 48 hours [I have to get myself to] the [hospital] ER [emergency room] to check my blood. Had a CT scan [a painless, sophisticated x-ray procedure which obtains images of parts of the body that cannot be seen on a standard x-ray — Ed.] today and have blood clots in each of my lungs as well as my leg. I can’t sing because pushing can cause an embolism.”
