Apparently a Trump adviser also said Hillary should be "shot for treason."

Christ.

That is inexcusable. Is it safe to assume this person was or is about to be fired?

When the Trump juggernaut first started I said he would definitely be prez as he's perfect for the current culture we live in. After some of his fuck ups I thought maybe he wasn't presidential material after all. I now believe he has a legitimate shot at going all the way. The wikileaks thing has the potential to do a lot of damage and I wouldn't be shocked if the "October surprise" is a leaking of all her Benghazi emails.

The main thing Hillary has going against her is how no one likes her. The DNC....as corrupt as they are...were fucking morons for giving it to her. A pile of horse manure could run against Hillary and come close in the general election.

Even if I was considering voting for her, she just lost that potential vote when it was announced Dunham will speak at the convention.  People say Trump doesn't make wise decisions....well that one sure is a doozy.

I'm not sure what this country needs but its definitely not a Hillary presidency. I wish a legitimate third party candidate could have made some waves and changed the dynamics of this race.

I just want it over with. Its not going to be pretty either way.

I heard that the DNC convention opened to a combination of cheers and boos.  We'll see if Hillary gets fact checked by Oliver when she starts her wage gap and war on women nonsense.  I won't be holding my breath.  That being said, whoever that idiot was calling Obama a Muslim needs to be dropped off on a deserted island.  I'm just glad Trump's team didn't put that piece of shit Gingrich on the ticket.  Though the irony is that the left forgets violence is going down every time they try to exploit one of the shootings they feel will rally their base.

PHILADELPHIA — My first sight of this week’s Democratic convention had nothing to do with the party’s nominee for president, Hillary Clinton.

At a bus stop in Philadelphia on Sunday night I passed people clutching placards for Mrs. Clinton’s vanquished rival, Senator Bernie Sanders — a sign of the bubbling passions that have animated every argument in this extraordinary election year.

By Monday morning, those passions had erupted into open divisions, even before the convention had officially started, when Mr. Sanders’s supporters jeered and booed Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee who organized this convention and who has promised to resign.

It was not the start that Mrs. Clinton wanted. In the wake of last week’s bitterly divided Republican convention in Cleveland, chuckling Democrats promised that their own meeting would be a paragon of party discipline and unity. “I can tell you we’re going to have a very different kind of convention,” Mrs. Clinton told supporters on Monday.

But the publication of 20,000 Democratic National Committee emails by WikiLeaks this weekend provided a disastrous prelude to the convention. The emails revealed concerted efforts by senior party leaders, including Ms. Wasserman Schultz, to undermine Mr. Sanders’s campaign, reopening the wounds from the primary contest.

Come Monday afternoon, Mr. Sanders’s supporters amassed outside the convention hall, shouting, “Hell no, D.N.C., we won’t vote for Hillary!” Inside, they booed at every mention of Mrs. Clinton’s name. And Ms. Wasserman Schultz had announced that she would not, as tradition dictates, strike the gavel to open the convention later that day.

It is a sign of the fevered change roiling American politics that the normally staid party conventions have become spectacles of confrontation and division where insurgent forces are on display, often to the dismay of traditional party leaders.

This is the Electoral Map based on current RCP polling averages. I only applied states that were outside the margin of error (3 points in this case.)

Though the irony is that the left forgets violence is going down every time they try to exploit one of the shootings they feel will rally their base.

Was talking about this to someone earlier today while discussing Trump. When one of these shootings that kills black people happen, we're told that a massive crime wave is underway. When Trump mentions wanting to put a stop to all the violence, these same outlets say, "Trump is nuts! The crime rate is lower than its been in decades!".

The way the media uses such tactics is vomit inducing.

Fairly realistic map but I wouldn't be too sure about Wisconsin. He's gaining some ground there. I'd also give him Iowa but that's only 6 votes. PA might be a barn burner.

The next few weeks we'll see which way the wind starts blowing. I think she's in trouble.

Right now she has +5.6 average in Wisconsin, so I'd certainly put that in the blue column. Trump hasn't been ahead once that I see in that state. But that's today.

For me personally I wouldn't put much stock in numbers over the next couple of weeks for either candidate. Lots of statistical noise before/after these conventions.

Either way I still believe Trump has a harder path to 270 than Hilldawg.

Its going to depend on how bad he really wants it. He missed the boat on CA with the immigration issue. Will he go to the midwest reminding voters of all the factories sent to China, Mexico, etc. and he promises to bring them back? He cant just say this shit once on TV and expect it to be enough. He has to truly start campaigning. This isn't a reality show.....its actually real so he should treat it as such.

If he wants to win he's going to need a different approach.

These Sanders voters may be a wild card. How do they feel now that they know without a doubt it was rigged from the start? Did they already have a feeling it was rigged or did Putin give them a shock to the system?

Its amazing how the US tries to interfere in Russia and Ukraine elections and in what could be one of the most important elections in our history, he's decided to return the favor.
